Iβve been a photographer my entire life, but didnβt make it official until after I quit my job when I became a mom to my rainbow baby in 2019. Flash-forward 3 years and I decided to take the leap into birth photography. From the moment I first photographed a birth (which was a 40 hour induction!) I knew Iβd found my place in this world.
When I gave birth, I didnβt have an official support team. I realized I missed out on, not only having the moments I met my babies documented, but having the love and support of professionals who cared about me and who knew how to best help me as I entered postpartum. After attending several births as a photographer, I realized I wanted to do more than just document births. I wanted to truly support and advocate for my clients. To be the one to hold them when holding space isnβt enough. Thanks to a gentle push from a doulatog friend and mentor, I began my doula training and realized I could do so much more.
As your photographer and doula, I promise to respect you and your plan. However you intend to bring your little one earth side, I will be on your team and will always give my best. It all comes down to giving you and your family the support I wish I would have asked for when I started my family.
Outside of my birth work, I find joy in spending time with my husband, our two kids, and our two pups, Kenai and Juneau! Gardening, mountain biking, baking, and being outside are among my favorite things. Thank you for being here and trusting me to document and support you in your journey!
All my love,
Karina
